Amit Shah accompanied Yogi to file nomination form at Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath filed his nomination papers for Gorakhpur Urban Constituency as BJP candidate on Friday for the ensuing State Assembly election.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah accompanied with Yogi Adityanath for filing of nomination and to submit his nomination to Returning Officer at Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi also declared in the affidavit that he owns a gold earring weighing 20 gm worth ₹ 49K and a gold chain with Rudraksha weighing 10 gm worth ₹ 20K. He carries a smart phone having a price of ₹ 12K. Yogi Adityanath in his affidavit said that he owns a revolver worth ₹ 1, 00,000 and a rifle worth ₹ 80K. He also declared that there is no vehicle registered in his name.

Yogi Adityanath said he does not own any agricultural or non-agricultural property. He said he does not have any liabilities mentioned in his affidavit. He is a graduate in B. Sc. He is contesting the assembly elections for the first time. The polling in the Gorakhpur Urban seat will be held on March 3rd during the sixth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He was elected as MP for five times from Gorakhpur constituency.

Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Gorakhnath temple, ahead of filing nomination for the state Assembly election. The polling in Uttar Pradesh Assembly will be held on February 10th, 14th, 20th, 23rd, 27th, March 3rd and 7th in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10th.
