Karimnagar: Karimnagar police arrested BJP State President and MP Bandi Sanjay on Sunday night and cracked his Jana Jaagarana Deeksha at his office in Karimnagar. He took Jana Jaagarana Deeksha in protest of GO Ms No. 317 on the issues of the employees transfers on Zonal system in the State.

A large number of BJP workers, teachers, Government employees and general public reached Jana Jaagarana Deeksha venue. Police objected MP Bandi Sanjay’s protest Jana Jaagarana Deeksha for not obtaining permission due to Covid – 19 protocols to congregate a large number of people. MP started his protest at 8 pm on Sunday and closed his office main gates.

At about 10 pm the police stopped electricity supply to that building and poured water through windows into his office room from the fire engines. Then police broke the doors of the office and arrested Bandi Sanjay and others, shifted them to Manakonduru police station. At the time of arrest Sanjay and his followers prevented the police, but in- vain.

After the arrest Sanjay said that he will took the incident before to the privilege committee at parliament. Union Minister Kishan Reddy and other BJP leaders Huzurabad BJP MLA Etela Rajender condemned the incident.
