Guntur: Guntur Fourth Additional District and Sessions Judge on Friday awarded death sentence to the accused Sashi Krishna, who stabbed an Engineering student N Ramya.

The accused Sashi Krishna stabbed Ramya to death in a broad day light on August 15^th, 2021. Within a few hours, the police arrested the accused. The murder had created sensation throughout the state. The case trials began in December 2021 in the Special Court and hearing concluded on April 26^th, 2022. The Judge in his verdict said that the CCTV footages have confirmed that Sashi Krishna had murdered Ramya. He termed the rarest of the rare case and said that the accused had attempted to escape from police custody.

Even, he did not show any sign of remorse for committing the crime. He should be hanged till he dies, the Judge said. Ramya’s parents expressed happiness over the judgement and thanked police and court for rendering justice to them.
