Jagan laid foundation stone to Aditya Birla Group Textile Park in Pulivendula

Pulivendula: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Aditya Birla Group textile park will be developed as Pulivendula Industrial hub in Kadapa district. On the second day of his visit to the district, he laid the foundation stone for the newly constructed Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Limited near the Sanyu Glass Factory in Pulivendula on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion CM YS Jagan said that Aditya Birla Company is one of the 500 largest companies in the world. He said the company would employ about 85% women and employ about 2K people. The company has 3031 fashion retail stores across the country, running 25,000 multi-brand stores and 6,500 department stores. The company produces big brands like Van Hussein and Allen Solly. It has a turnover of Rs 8,700 crore in 2020 – 21.

CM YS Jagan thanked Kumara Mangalam Birla, Aditya Birla MD Ashish Dixit, Chief Supply Officer Swaminathan, Head of Corporate Affairs Vivek and his team members for taking steps to create 2112 jobs with an investment of Rs 110 crore in Pulivendula. CM then handed over the land allotment documents to the Aditya Birla Company representatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Aditya Birla Group said it was historic and gratifying to set up a textile manufacturing center in Pulivendula. After that Aditya Birla MD Ashish Dixit said that the AP Government was cooperating with them in all possible ways. He said the industry would soon be established and a large percentage of women would be provided employment opportunities. They presented the picture of Mahaneta YS Rajasekhara Reddy to CM YS Jagan.

YS Jagan distributed house site pattas to women beneficiaries in Pulivendula Jagananna Colony which is in an extent of 313 acres. He also inaugurated agriculture market yard, he laid foundation stone to Aqua Hub in Pulivendula.
