All Party Meet: Opposition Raises Economy Detentions in Kashmir

New Delhi: The Parliamentary affairs minister Prahalad Joshi convened all party meeting on Sunday morning at parliament premises. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended. The govt called on all party meeting for the debate in the winter session which is commencing from November 18th.

                Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the all party meeting on Sunday said that the session should be as productive as the last one. The govt is ready to discuss all issues with the frame work of rules and procedures of the houses.

       37 parties attended the all party meeting. The opposition parties raised several key issues including economy, unemployment and continued detention of Kashmiri leaders at the all party meeting. The Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Nabi Azad raised the issue of the Jammu and Kashmir MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah who was under detention. He urged the government to allow Farooq Abdullah to the session. 27 bills are scheduled to be presented before the house in this parliament session.

    The list includes the citizen ship (amendment) bill which seeks to grant Indian citizen ship to Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. If they have fled their respective country due to religious persecution.
