New Delhi: Suman K Bery appointed as Vice- Chairperson of Niti Aayog on Friday in the place of ousted Niti Aayog VC Dr Rajiv Kumar.

Dr Rajiv Kumar has stepped down from the post of VC of Niti Aayog after tenure of close to five years. The Union Government announced that it has accepted Dr Rajiv Kumar’s resignation and will relieve him from the post of the VC, NITI Aayog from 30^th April 2022.

Bery will take over as VC of NITI Aayog from May 1^st until further orders, on the same terms and conditions as were applicable to the previous VCs.
