Chennai: Tamil Nadu police arrested Shirdipuram Sarva Shakthi Peedam Sai Baba Koil priest Sathiya Narayanan and his wife Pushpa Latha on Saturday in Chennai on the charges of sexually abusing a woman devotee. Sathiya Narayanan is the priest in his own temple Shirdipuram Sarva Shakthi Peedam Sai Baba Koil in Chennai.

According to the Police sources, Pushpalatha had helped Sathiya Narayanan rape the woman when she was 16 years of age. The police take the objection photos of the girl. The woman devotee was threatened that if she raised a complaint, her photos would be circulated in the public domain, said the police.

The police said that the victim in her statement stated that I was staying with my grandmother while I was in Class 12 and we frequented the temple. On April 12, 2016, I was asked to get the sacred ash. When I went to the temple Pushpa Latha gave me juice and after two hours, I was lying naked in the bed with Sathiya Narayanan and Pushpa Latha by my side.
