Uma Bharati Destroyed Liquor Bottles in a Shop in Bhopal

Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharati vandalized a liquor shop in Bhopal on Sunday, by demanding the prohibition on liquor in the state. After pelting stones at the liquor shop in Barkhera Pathani area and entered into the shop and began destroying the liquor bottles.

She was accompanied by several men and women who hailed her actions. Speaking after the destroy of the liquor bottles she said that she warned the local authorities to shut the shop within a week, otherwise she will intense the agitation more severe.

She met the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan two days ago and urged him to prohibit the sale and use of liquor in the state and make it a liquor free state. Two days after her request the government announced a new liquor policy caused the incident. The new liquor policy allows the liquor sale at the Indore and Bhopal airports, while announcing a cut prices for both country-made and foreign liquors by 20 percent.
