YS Jagan will launch 144 Jagananna Oxygen plants on January 10th

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch “Jagananna Oxygen plants (Jagananna Pranavayuvu)” on Monday in the State through virtually at his Tadepalli camp office. CM decided to overcome the oxygen shortage due to the surge of Covid – 19 cases, keeping in view of the experiences during second wave of Covid – 19 situations.

AP Government will establish a PSA plant in each 50 and more bedded Government hospitals in the State. The Government will generate oxygen from air through Pressure Swing Adsorption plants. AP Government established 144 oxygen plants in 124 Government and Teaching hospitals with an expenditure of RS 189.5 crores in the State. PSA will generate 93, 600 litres of oxygen per minute in 124 hospitals.

Oxygen pipelines laid for 24,419 bedded hospitals at a cost of Rs 90.07 crores. Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) tankers installed with a capacity of 399 kiloliters at 35 hospitals at a cost of Rs15 crore. The Government will purchase LMO tankers with a capacity of 390 kiloliters at another 39 hospitals at a cost of Rs 16.3 crore. Purchase of 25 containers with a capacity of 20 kiloliters for supply and storage of oxygen at a cost of Rs.15.25 crore. Purchase of 23,971 oxygen concentrators, 26,746 D type cylinders. 20 VRDL labs will be established in 13 districts at a cost of Rs.6.22 crore.

Civil and electrical works completed with an estimation of Rs.21.93 crore. Purchase of medical, lab equipment and Covid – 19 kits purchased with an expenditure of Rs.297.36 crore. AP Government established 144 PSA plant in 13 districts i.e. Srikakulam – 16, Vizianagaram – 02, Vishakhapatnam – 15, East Godavari – 14, West Godavari – 07, Krishna – 15, Guntur – 08, Prakasam – 06, Nellore – 08, Chittoor – 23, Cuddapah – 10, Ananthapur – 09 and Kurnool – 11.
