Tirupati: TTD laid foundation stone for the developmental works at Anjjanadri Hills which is believed as the birth place of Hanuman on Wednesday. TTD Chairperson YV Subba Reddy performed Bhoomi pooja in presence of Sharada Peetadipati Swarupananedra Swami, Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust Treasurer Swamiji.

Ten months after an expert committee of the TTD announced that Tirumala is the birthplace of the deity, a group of priests performed pooja for building the Sri Anjanaya Swamy temple. A committee constituted by TTD in 2021, which manages the affairs of Sri  Venkateshwara temple atop Tirumala, had announced that Japali Theertham near Akasha Ganga waterfall is the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
TTD committee had stated that they established the fact that Tirumala is the birthplace of Hanuman after four months of intensive research.
