The Managalagiri Court sent senior journalist K. Srinivasa Rao for 14 days judicial custody

Vijayawada: The Managalagiri Court sent senior journalist K. Srinivasa Rao for 14 days judicial custody on Tuesday. The Thullur police produced K. Srinivasa Rao before the Additional Junior Civil Judge (incharge) K. Suresh Babu as accused in the KSR Live Show for a derogatory remarks made by a panelist during the live show.

Additional Junior Civil Judge (incharge) K. Suresh Babu expressed anger on the Thullur DSP and questioned him how SC, ST atrocities case attracted this case. He also cautioned the DSP that in the past also you have also done the same mistake; you are not rectifying your faults in implicating sections in the FIR.

He issued memos to DSP and SP on misusing of the SC, ST atrocities cases. He also told K. Srinivasa Rao, he will give orders if he applied for the facilities in jail. He also instructed the police to do the needful with the coordination of the jail officers.

The Judge also directed the police to allow the family members of KSR to meet him in the jail, when KSR complains to the Judge. The Judge saw the KSR Live Show video thrice and gave 14 days remand.
