New Delhi: Supreme Court granted bail to senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao on Friday. The two member bench comprised with Justices PK Mishra, Manmohan Singh said that to release the senior journalist K Srinivasa Rao immediately without any delay.

The Judges said that how he is responsible to the derogatory words used by the panelist. It is suppressing the freedom of the speech and the fundamental rights of a journalist, who is conducting the live debate in a television. The lawyers representing the Government urge the Court that he smiled in the show when the panelist said the derogatory words.

The Judges set aside their words and questioned that if you lodge a case one who smiles in a show is it correct? We also smiles at the bench when we are hearing cases. Will you arrest us? It is not fair to the Government, the bench said. K. Srinivasa Rao likely will release from jail on Saturday after completion of the formalities.
