YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded the Government to pay Rs. 25 lakhs compensation to the kith and kin in the flood affected areas
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded the Government to pay Rs. 25 lakhs compensation to the kith and kin, who lost lives in the floods in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
He visited the worstly flood affected area old Raja Rajeshwari Nagar in Vijayawada on Wednesday. He walked in that area the flood water stagnated nearly 3 to 4 feets and he interacted with the victims. The victims said that they have not received any help from the Government, no Government official have not come for their rescue since four days.
We are suffering with starvation, nobody came to help us. After seeing this situation YS Jagan speaking the victims and media said that this is a man made floods. The officials opened the Bodameru and Velagaleru logs to save the Chief Minister’s house at Karakatta not to drown.
It leads the flood water to enter the Vijayawada city and made irreparable loss to the city. He alleged that the Government killed 23 persons for their negligence to release water without alerts. The Government has no mercy on people to help them in the hardship of floods. Chandrababu has no moral rights to be a Chief Minister of AP who is not showing serious concern on saving the people from the floods.
He also visited Singh Nagar on Monday which is badly flood affected area in Vijayawada.
