Mumbai: Former Mumbai Police Encounter Specialist Pradeep Sharma arrested by NIA on Thursday in connection with the Mukesh Ambani bomb scare investigation. According to the NIA agency sources the NIA team and armed CRPF raided Pradeep Sharma’s residence in Andheri at 5 am and conducted searches for around six hours.
Later he was taken to the NIA’s office for questioning. The raids come after possible links between Pradeep Sharma and an individual named Santosh Shelar, who was arrested this week and has been sent to NIA custody till June 21. There are photographs of Sharma and Shelar together but these have been dismissed by the ex-cop, who has said Santosh Shelar was a police informant.
Waze who is in NIA custody had said the 20 gelatin sticks were procured through Pradeep Sharma’s contact, which were found in the SUV near Ambani’s house. Waze is regarded as the prime suspect in both cases the bomb scare and the death of businessman Hiran.
