
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled former Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee’s statue
New Delhi/ Lucknow: Modi unveiled a statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Lucknow’s Lok Bhavan on his birth anniversary on Wednesday. He also laid foundation stone for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in Lucknow.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed those who participated in protests and damaged public property during the protests in Uttar Pradesh against CAA and NRC. The vandals should ask themselves, was it right? Whatever was torched was it not for their child’s use? What has happened to those people and policemen who got injured? Modi asked. Over 15 people were killed and 263 police personnel were injured and state owned property damaged in violence during the protest against CAA and NRC in several UP districts.
Speaking with media persons on CAA Modi said that giving citizenship to those who came to India from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan to “Save the dignity of their daughters”. Another problem whose solution was found by 130 crore Indians, “With self confidence, Hindustanis are entering into a new decade, whatever is left to be done, all Indians are trying to find a solution”, he added.
About Medical University, he said that it would provide affiliation to Government, Semi-Government and provide colleges and help to improve the quality of Medical education in Uttar Pradesh.
