“The Last Colour” for 92nd Academy Awards

Bhubaneshwar: The Hindi feature film “The Last Colour” got eligibility for the 92nd Academy Awards in the best picture category. The film was directed by celebrity Chief Vikas Khanna and the veteran actress Neena Gupta acted in this film.

The film produced and promoter by Jitendra Mishra, who was born in Odisha. The academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced a list of 344 feature films from across the world eligible for the 2019 Academy Awards. Nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards will announce on January 13th. The ceremony takes place on February 9th. The Last Colours which also marks Vikas Khanna’s debut as a director and screenplay director is based on his bestselling book by the same name.

The story of Last Colour was based on Varanasi story. In this story Chhoti a nine year old flower seller and tightropewalker who befriends Noor, a 70 year old widow living a life complete abstinence. The film The Last Colour has already been selected in more than 50 International Film Festival and received more than 15 different Awards and nominations in various categories. This film also received global appreciation for its special screening at the prestigious United Nations Headquarters and Cannes Film Festival, Marche do film section.
