
MLA arrested for muck attack
Mumbai: A Congress MLA Nitish Rane and two of his followers arrested on Thursday. The police registered a case against the MLA on the allegations of insulting a Government Engineer and threw muck on him while protesting against pot holes on a bridge near Kankavli in Sindhudurga district in Maharashtra.
The MLA Nitish Rane is the son of former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Narayana Rane. When the MLA go for a inspection at a bridge near the Mumbai- Goa highway on Thursday. The MLA find poor condition of the bridge got angry on the PWD Engineer Prakash Shedekar, he and his supporters dumping buckets of muck on the engineer. Later the engineer was tied to the bridge over the river. After the incident a video went viral. MLA was trolled from all quarters. Nitish also started scolding the engineer that people are suffering daily, now you also experience it, shall I show you how we get dirty in the muck. Nitish said to the engineer. He asked his supporters to throw mud at the engineer. He allegedly manhandled the engineer. The MLA’s father, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Narayana Rane offered an apology on the incident, when it evoked criticism.
