Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured that he will provide legal assistance to the Joji Nagar house demolition victims

Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured that he will provide legal assistance to the Joji Nagar house demolition victims. The victims of Joji Nagar of Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada met YS Jagan on Thursday at his residence in Tadepalli and explained him how they were thrown on the streets by the police and the revenue officials on December 3rd.

Former Minister V Srinivas brought the victims to YS Jagan’s residence for remedy. The victims explained YS Jagan that they purchased the land from a private person 25 years back with pakka registrations and having water and electricity bills paying house tax to Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.

In a fraudulent way Sri Laxmi Rama Co-operative Society claimed that the land belongs to them and demolished with the help of the Government. The victims also explained that though they are having Supreme Court stay order upto December 31st, the officials demolished the 42 houses within three hours.
