
POK and Aksai Chin Integral Parts of India: Amit Shah
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in his speech in Lok Sabha said that India will continue to claim the territories of Jammu and Kashmir under the occupation of Pakistan commonly referred to “Pakistan Occupied Kashmir” [POK].
Amit Shah replying to a debate on the resolution for abrogating some provisions of Article 370 and the Jammu and Kashmir re-organization bill 2019, he also said the government would have no hesitation in restoring statehood to J&K when normality returns. India will continue to claim Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, we are ready to give our lives for it.
Amit Shah in his speech said that there is no doubt Kashmir is an integral part of India. When I say J & K, I include Pak Occupied Kashmir and Aksai Chin both are included in the territorial boundaries of J & K.
Parliament approved a resolution abrogating the special status for J & K under Article 370 of the constitution and a bill for splitting the state into two Union Territories. The resolution was passed by the Lok Sabha with 351 members voting in favour 72 against it, with one member abstaining.
The bill to create two Union Territories J & K and Ladak was passed in the Lok Sabha by 370 votes in favour and 70 against. The Home Minister said Article 370 was creating doubts over J & K’s relations with India. He said the govt would not talk to hurriyat conference, but was ready to speak to the people of Kashmir.
