Dams in A.P and Telangana states reaches full water levels
Hyderabad: Heavy rains in the upper stream of Krishna and Godavari Rivers caused heavy floods in A.P and Telangana since ten days. All major dams in Telangana including Kaleshwaram project, SRSP, Jurala project reached water levels fully and open crest gates for the supply water to the down streams.

Andhra Pradesh: The Krishna River flood water reached Srisailam dam and the water levels reached 880.9 feets against to the full reservoir level of 885 feets. Srisailam receiving 3.2 lakhs C.U. lakhs water from dams in Karnataka which has been affected to severe flooding in the Krishna-Via- Jurala project. The inflow is expected to increase further as the Jurala project upstream is releasing 4.91 lakhs C.U. The A.P Irrigation Minister P. Anil Kumar lifted four radial lift crest gates of the Srisailam dam, allowing one lakh C.U water towards Nagarjuna sagar Dam which is all but empty. The increasing floods to Srisailam Dam authorities opened six more gates on Saturday and released two lakhs C.U, to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Today the crest gates of the Srisailam dam opened to release flood water to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.
