
Vinayaka Navaratri Celebrations in India: AP, Telangana
Hyderabad: According to Hindu Mythology Lord Vinayaka or Ganesh or Ganapathi’s birthday is celebrated as Vinayaka Chavithi in the month of Bhadrapada Maasa Shudha Chavithi [according to telugu calendar year]. This festival is celebrating in the month of September as Gregorian calendar.

Vinayaka chavithi Navaratri Utsavaas are celebrating in each and every village. The devotees celebrates vinayaka chavithi in each street by constructing Ganesh Mandapaas and install the idol of Ganapathi’s from three feet height to 10 feet height in different mythology shapes of Ganapathi.

Lord Ganapathi is the son of God Eshwara and Godess Parvathi. These two couples made their elder son Vinayaka to the head of the Ganaas on the day of Vinayaka Chavithi. That is why Vinayaka called as “Ganadhipathi or Ganesh or Ganadyeksha” the parents of Vinayaka blessed their son he is eligible for the first pooja or prayers, whatever that god and goddesses perform pooja by devotees.

If anyone will ignore the pooja of Ganapathi prior to their main poojas will face troubles. It is experienced in many people’s life. Lord Ravana was lost the Aatma Lingam [the soul lingam of Shiva] to carry his demon capital of lanka, which he ignored Ganapathi pooja. Lord Krishna also faces blames on the death of Saatrajit, who has saw the replica of moon in the milk glass. Those who saw the moon, or the replica of moon prior to the pooja of Ganapathi will receive troubles and blames upto next year, this is as per the mythology.
Vinayaka Chavithi Navaratri Utsavaas are celebrating in a grand manner at Varasiddi Vinayaka temple in Kaanipaakam, Chitoor District. The Kaanipaakam is 12 kms from the Chitoor Dist, Chitoor Railway Station.
Ganapathi Navaratri Utsavaas also celebrate in all Shiva temple in all states. In Andhra Pradesh, Sri Kaalahasthi, Sri Sailam, Sri Bramaramba Mallikarjuna, Mahanandhi Temple in Vijayawada, Chidambaram, Arunachalam in Tamil Nadu states. Alampur, Vemulavada, Komavelli Shiva temples in Telangana celebrates Vinayaka Navaratri Utsavaas.

Vinayaka Navaratri Utsavaas also celebrates for the peace and communal harmony, the unity of Indians in Bombay, Delhi, Kolkatta cities. British rule in India before 1947. Bala Gangadhar Tilak used this Navaraatri Utsavaas to create the patriotism in the country. That ceremony continued after the Independence in India as Vinayaka Chavithi Navaraatri Utsavaas.
