Vijayawada: Due to heavy floods for Krishna River, the dams on the Krishna river are receiving massive inflows of water due to rain in the catchment areas in Maharashtra and Karnataka states. Due to the excess inflows from Srisailam Dam the authorities of Nagarjuna Sagar lifted four gates to release the excess water.

      The heavy inflows to Srisailam Dam, the Dam authorities released 1.1 lakh cu. of water to Srisailam on Monday by lifting eight gates.

      Srisailam Dam storing capacity is 215 tmc, now the present storage water is 207.8 tmc as well as Nagarjuna Sagar officials stores 305.74 tmc against its capacity of 312 tmc.
