
Former AIADMK leader VK Sasikala discharged from hospital
Bengaluru: Former AIADMK leader, close aide of Jayalalitha was discharged on Sunday from Victoria hospital in Bengaluru after experiencing breathlessness. She was admitted in the hospital on January 21st due Covid- 19 positive.
She was released from the Parappana Agraharam Central Jail on 27th January, after completion of four years imprisonment in the disproportionate case. A huge group of supporters had gathered at the hospital as she was wheel-chaired out today a little after 12.30pm.
The crowd burst into slogans and cheers on seeing her; she acknowledged them with folded hands before getting into a car that drove her away. Her family has decided to take her to Chennai, sources said closed to her. Over 300 police personnel were deployed in the hospital area to ensure law and order, police said.
“She has completed 10 days of treatment today. She has been asymptomatic and maintaining saturation without oxygen since three days. As per protocol, she can be released from hospital,” a bulletin from the Bangalore Medical College had said yesterday.
