High Court constituted a Medical Board on Chidambaram’s health condition

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court directed the AIIMS Director to constitute a Medical Board to give opinion on the health of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram on Thursday itself. He is suffering from Crohn’s disease and is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in the INX media case.

   The High Court also said that the Hyderabad based Gastro Enterologist Nageshwar Reddy who has been treating Chidambaram, be included in the Board to give its opinion on Chidambaram’s medical condition. Chidambaram has sought interim relief for six day to enable him to consult and get examined by his regular doctor Nageshwar Reddy at the Asian Institute of Gastro Enterology in Hyderabad. The High Court Justice Suresh Kait directed the Board will sit to discuss Chidambaram’s health condition and place the report before the Court which will hear the matter on Friday.
