ACJ Elevated as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court acting Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chohan has been made Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. The post of Chief Justice of Telangana High Court has been vacant since April 2019, when Chief Justice Radha Krishnan was transferred to the Calcutta High Court. The Union Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.

         Justice Raghavendra Singh Chohan was born on December 24 in 1959 in Rajasthan. He studied bachelor degree from Arcadia University in USA in 1980 and he got Law degree from Delhi University in 1983. He started his professional carrier by enrolling as a member of the Rajsthan Bar Council in November 1983.

          He started practice in the Rajasthan High Court in 1986 and practice up to 2005. He was then elevated as permanent Judge of the High Court in June 2005. Justice Chohan was transferred to the Karnataka High Court and March 2015. Later he transferred to Composite AP and Telangana High Court after bi-furcation he was allotted to the Telangana High Court.

        Justice V. Rama Subramanian the Senior Judge of the Telangana High Court was elevated to Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
