New Delhi: BRS MLC K Kavitha is going to face the ED questions at 10.30 am on Saturday at ED Headquarters in New Delhi. She will attend to the ED questions in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.

The ED in its remand report said that K Kavitha is having political relations with Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, as well as she is a prominent person in South Liquor group. Originally the ED called her on Thursday for interrogation but she cited her hunger strike scheduled in Delhi on Friday seeking the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in parliament. On her request to the ED, ED rescheduled her interrogation on Saturday.

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is already under the ED’s custody. He was also arrested by the CBI for alleged corruption in framing Delhi’s new liquor policy.

A key focus of the investigation into the Delhi liquor policy case is on an alleged network of middlemen, businessmen and politicians which the central agencies have called the South Group. The ED alleged the liquor policy was tweaked to help companies of the South Group and Sisodia diluted the policy in their favour without any consultation.
