Chennai: Chennai police arrested wife and husband in an alleged torture and murder of a 15 year old house maid in Chennai. Police also detained four others in connection with the case.

According to police sources, a 15 year old minor girl was working as a maid servant in a flat at Mehta Nagar in Aminjikarai area. The flat residents Mohammad Nishad and Nasiya had torture, including burns from a hot iron and cigarette butts on a 15 year old minor girl. She succumbed to her injuries.

The accused couple allegedly left the girl’s body in their toilet and fled to the man’s sister’s house. The victim’s mother is a widow from Thanjavur district. The case is under investigation and waiting for postmortem report.
