
10 foreign Tableeghi Missionaries arrested in Tamil Nadu
Nagapattinam: The foreign Tableeghi Jamaat Missionaries and their two guides were arrested from a Madrassa on April 9th in Needur village, Nagapattinam district in Tamil Nadu. They were booked on charges of violating the Covid- 19 lock down norms in the foreigners act.
According to the police sources they did not attend the TJ conference in New Delhi. We are now waiting for their swab sample test results. Police produced them before the Mayiladuthurai Judicial Magistrate at his house on the same day. Magistrate sends them for a 15 days judicial custody. Later they were admitted to isolation wards in the Mayiladuthurai hospital and their swab samples were sent to Tiruvarur GMCH for Covid- 19 test.
