
Amit Shah urges the political parties to send their MPs and MLAs
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed all the political parties to send their MPs and MLAs to the North East Delhi, where 27 people died and more than 200 injured pro and anti-CAA clashes erupted since four days. He reviewed the situation with NSA Ajit Doval and other police officers about the incidents.
Amit Shah has held a meeting of political parties, police officers at his office, to bring normalcy in the clashes erupted areas, the Special Police Commissioner S.N. Srivatsava, who was appointed on Tuesday evening to bring normalcy in the Seelampur area. Secretary for Home Ministry Ajay Bhalla, Intelligence Chief Ravi Kumar, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik and other top cops attended the meeting. The National Security Advisor Ajith Doval, who is the in-charge of the North East Delhi to bring the normalcy in this area, briefed the Home Minister about the situation.
The Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal requested the Home Minister Amit Shah to deploy army to control the clashes in the North East Delhi area. He also appealed the people of North East Delhi please maintain peace and harmony.
The pro and anti-CAA protesters thrown stones on each other, the protesters set fire nearby vehicles, shops, and houses since four days in the area of Jaffarabad, Maujpur, Gokalpuri and Chandbagh and Seelampur areas. The mob set fire a petrol pump nearby Chandbagh. In the clashes and arsons nearly 27 people died upto Wednesday evening. More than 200 injured people undergoing treatment.
The NSA Ajit Doval visited the clashes erupted areas on Tuesday night and also Wednesday afternoon and interacted with the local people. He assured the people Government will initiate action against the mob and bring the situation normal. He also said that the situation in the area is under control. He appealed the people trust the uniformed persons, they will be safeguard the people.
