A.P former Speaker Kodela death is a suspicious circumstance?

Hyderabad: A.P former Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao died at Basava Tarakam Cancer hospital on Monday. He was brought to the hospital at 11 am and admitted in the hospital.

   The hospital authorities tried to save him by giving treatment through ventilator, but in vein. There are rumours that Siva Prasad Rao had committed suicide, but he was rushed to the hospital with heart attack. The Banjarahills police registered a case that the death of Kodela as a suspicious circumstances. Kodela’s relative Kanchi Sai lodged a complaint at Sattenapalli police station in Guntur district on Monday that Kodela was murder in his residence at Hyderabad. The complainant told to the media persons that Kodela told him on Sunday night over the phone that his son is harassing him mentally and physically.

   Kodela Siva Prasad Rao is a native of Kandlakunta in Nakirekal mandal in Guntur district. He took his MBBS degree from Guntur Medical College. Later he took MS degree from Banaras Hindu University. He practiced as a doctor at Narasaraopeta and became a popular surgeon. He joined politics in 1983 on the call of TDP Founder N.T. Rama Rao. He elected five times from Narasaraopeta Assembly constituency in 1983, 84, 89, 94, 99 and from Sattenapalli constituency in 2014. He was inducted as a Minister in NTR’s cabinet and in Chandra Babu Naidu’s cabinet and finally, he was elected as A.P Assembly speaker in 2014.
