AP CJ Took Oath Twice Due To Official’s Error

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari took oath as Chief Justice twice on Monday.

       AP Governor Bishwabushan Hari Chandan administered the oath with Justice Maheshwari as the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh at Tummalapally Kalakshetram in Vijayawada. But Chief Justice Maheshwari in his oath said as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court instead of Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh. Later Governor’s special secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena who had notice the error and arranged the second oath taking in the VIP room.

        Before being sworn-in-as Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court, he was a Judge in Madhya Pradesh High Court.
