Bhopal: A group of Bajrang Dal members attacked on the set of his web series Aashram on Sunday in Bhopal. According to the police sources Bajrang Dal activists roughed up on director Prakash Jha his face smeared with ink.

Bajrang Dal members chasing down the web series crew and managing to catch at least one of them and beating him mercilessly with a metal light stand which was recorded in the cell phones by witnesses. Activists of the Bajrang Dal allegedly went on the rampage during the ongoing shooting of Prakash Jha directed web series Aashram-3 in Bhopal, ransacking property, including vehicles and also assaulting crew members.

A mob of Bajrang Dal members shouted slogans like Prakash Jha Murdabad, Bobby Deol Murdabad and Jai Shri Ram as they attacked the set at Old Jail Premises located in Arera Hills in the evening.

Prakash Jha’s web series Aashram starring Bobby Deol was an assault on Hinduism and they will not allow its filming till the title was changed, said the activists. The web series has not filed a complaint about the attack. He has assured the Bajrang Dal activist that he will change the name of the series.

They made Ashram 1, Ashram 2 and were shooting Ashram 3 here. Prakash Jha showed in Ashram that the guru was abusing women. Does he have the guts to make such a film on a church or madrasa? Who does he think he is?
