
Centre bans all fights from UK and EU
New Delhi: Union Government has banned the entry of passengers from UK, EU countries as well as the European Free Trade Association and Turkey. The airlines have been asked not to board passengers from these nations from March 18th at 12:00 GMT and enforce this at the port of initial departure.
The Government has also said passengers arriving from or transiting through the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait will need compulsory quarantine for a minimum of 14 days. This too will be effective from March 18th. The Government said that both these instructions are temporary measures and will be inforce till March 31st and will review subsequently. The Government has issued an advice asking all educational institutions, gyms etc., to be closed and travel to avoided as a part of “Social distancing” measures, after a meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoP). The Corona cases toll reaches 117 on Monday out of these 17 persons have been discharged and there have been to two deaths. Maharashtra, Odisha, Ladakh, J & K and Kerala was reported each one fresh case.
