
Centre readies post- lock down norms for use of public transport: Harshavardhan
New Delhi: The Union Government issued guidelines as part of its preparedness for post- lock down period, said the Union Health Minister Harshavardhan on Monday. The Government released guidelines for use public transport while adhering to social distancing norms to check the spread of Covid- 19.
The guidelines prepared by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and Central Road Research Institute, carried do’s and don’ts on using and managing public transports with commuters maintaining social distancing norms. Among other measures, it also recommended staggered office timings to avoid crowding in public transport.
The guidelines will also be useful in managing traffic, he said. A new normal life will be developed in the society post – Covid- 19 phase, setting new standards to live in a better and scientific way, he added. It will eventually become good health norms, he said.
