Fed Cup Heart award for Sania

Bengaluru: The Indian Ace Tennis Star Sania Mirza won Fed Cup Heart Award won by first Indian (Asia Oceania Group – I) for 2020. This award carries a cash prize of $ 2K to her.

She donated this cash prize to the Telangana Chief Minister’s relief fund. The award instituted in 2009, gives fans a chance to vote for players who have represented their country with distinction, shown exceptional courage on the court and demonstrated outstanding commitments to the team. She was constant at court side in the Dubai, shouting out valuable advice to her Fed Cup teammates and even warning them up before matches. She especially helped the younger players, spending extra time with those that didn’t get matches in the week long competition.

Sania preparing for India’s Asia-Oceania Group- I Fed Cup engagements, with her 18 months old son Izhaan in the stands, the Indian player won her three doubles clashes, playing alongside Ankita Raina, as she powered an inexperienced side that included Rutuja Bhosle, Sowjanya Bavisetti and Riya Bhatia to the playoffs for the first time.
