Immigration officers stopped BJP MP Sujana Choudary on lookout notice grounds at Delhi airport: Telangana HC lets him fly

Hyderabad: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Y. Sujana Choudary was stopped by the immigration officers at Delhi airport on Friday due to lookout notice by the CBI and ED. He was planned to go to New York on a personal trip for two weeks, the immigration officers not allowed him to travel to US.

Later, the BJP MP Y.S. Choudary moved Telangana High Court on Friday. The Court allowed him to go to New York on a personal trip after giving an undertaking to the CBI that he would return to India within two weeks and report to the authorities. The CBI and ED registered cases against BCEPL for financial frauds it allegedly committed. BCEPL, along with other group companies of Sujana Group, were functioning under the Chairmanship of Sujana.

The investigation by the ED into the allegations of 6K crore bank fraud against the companies owned by Sujana revealed that all the directors of various Sujana Group Companies acted under the instructions of Sujana, said ED. The CBI also registered cases against the MP in February in 2017.
