India records second highest Covid- 19 tally on Thursday

New Delhi: Covid- 19 outbreak recorded in Maharashtra over 10K infections, including 583 new cases on Thursday. India spiked again on Thursday crossing 1800 for the second time in the week and falling just eight short of Tuesday’s peak of 1840, while the day’s death toll stayed above 70 for the second straight day.

The Maharashtra’s tally stand at 10, 498, Gujarat 4, 395, Delhi 3, 515 and Rajasthan 2, 625, Maharashtra and Gujarat reported 313 cases on Wednesday. While Punjab and Tamil Nadu reported their highest daily numbers, the chain was most dramatic in Punjab, which had reported just 34 cases on Wednesday. Covid- 19 deaths on Thursday followed by Gujarat 17, West Bengal 11, and Madhya Pradesh 07 and three deaths in Delhi and two each in U.P and Rajasthan.

India’s Covid -19 cases now stand just short of the 35K mark at 34, 866 on Thursday.
