Chandigarh: International kabaddi player Sandeep Singh was shot dead at Malian village in Jalandhar district on Monday. During a match at Malian village the assailants open fire on Sandeep Singh, atleast 20 bullets were pumped into his head and chest.

The player Sandeep Singh was hailed from Nangal Ambiyan village from Shahkot in Punjab. He was former captain of the Indian kabaddi team. He is survived by his wife and two sons, who are currently in England, where he was settled.
