Hyderabad: The former minister K. Jana Reddy was selected as a congress nominee for the bye-election of Nagarjuna Sagar constituency in Nalgonda dist, in Telangana, which is scheduled to April 18, 2021. The AICC chief Sonia Gandhi has approved his candidature for the Nagarjuna Sagar bye-polls.

Jana Reddy was elected as an MLA for seven times since 1983 from Tungaturti and Nagarjuna Sagar Constituencies. He was defeated by Nomula Narasimhaiah in 2018 assembly elections, seems to have woken up from his political hibernation and has been spending quality time with his constituents, utilising the Graduates’ MLC election campaign as a precursor to his bye-poll campaign.
