Sri Nagar: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested five Jaish-E-Mohammed (J e M) on Thursday busted its plan of major terror strike ahead of the republic day.

The DIG V K Birdi addressing in a press conference here said that following in the investigations into a grenade attack in Sri Nagar’s Habak area on January 08. The police arrested five persons involved in the incident he said. The police officer identified the arrested as Ajaz Ahmed Shaik, Omer Hameed, Imtiyaz Chilka alias Imran and Nazir Mir, all are residence of Hazarbal and Shahil Gojri of Soura area of Sri Nagar.

The police recovered incriminating material including arms and other explosive substance during the course of investigations, he said. The police is also investigating their complicity in other terror crime incident.
