
Justice J Kanaga Raju Assumed Today as New SEC of AP
Vijayawada: Madras High Court retired Judge J Kanaga Raju assumed the office of State Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed Justice J Kanaga Raju as SEC of Andhra Pradesh for a period of three years with effect from 11.04.2020.
After Assuming the SEC’s office, Justice J Kanaga Raju called on AP Governor Bishwa Bhushan Hari Chandan as a courtesy. J Kanaga Raju born at Maravan Madan Village, Near Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu in 1936. He did his MA Mathematics from a university and also did BL degree.
He was as appointed as AGP in Madras High Court in 1989 and appointed as a Judge of Madras High Court in March 1990. He was retired in 2006 as a Judge in Madras High Court and started legal practice as an advocate in Supreme Court.
