
Kamal Nath is ready to face floor test
Bhopal: The Kamal Nath’s Government sacked six Ministers who supported rebel leader Scindia on Friday. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath recommended the removal of six Ministers to Governor Lalji Tondon.
The six Ministers who were removed from the State Cabinet were among the 22 rebel MLAs currently lodged in a resort in Bengaluru. The sacked Ministers are Imarti Devi, Tulsi Silawat, Govind Singh Rajput, Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Pradyumna Singh Tomar and Prabhram Choudhury.
The MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that his Government was prepared to face floor test in the Assembly, in ensuing budget session scheduled to commence on March 16th to prove his majority. The political crisis in the state is another development; a delegation of BJP met the Governor and urged him to call for floor test by the Kamal Nath Government. The delegation said that it has been reduced to minority following resignation of 22 Congress MLAs.
The Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker M.P. Prajapati summoned 12 MLAs to meet him in person for explanation the reasons behind their decision to resign from the house. He called summons to six MLAs to meet him Friday and six MLAs to meet him on Saturday. The move to shift the 22 rebel MLAs from Bengaluru to Bhopal on Friday was suspended reportedly due to security reasons.
