
KCR Ordered to Shutdown All Schools, Colleges and Other Gathering Places upto March 31st
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao sanctioned Rs. 500 crores to meet any eventuality, at the disposal of the Chief Secretary. He said that the cabinet decided in the wakeup Corona Virus, as a precautionary measures immediate closure of all educational institutions, including govt and private schools and college’s upto 31st March 2020.
The cabinet also decided not to close shopping malls, super market, shops and other establishments, he said. The ongoing intermediate and other board examinations will however be held on schedule. The inmates in govt residential schools will be sent home except those appearing for examinations.
From primary school upto PG college’s institutions and coaching centres will also close till March 21st. The Chief Minister appealed to the public to stay away from Mass gathering, he said. He also announced that any public meeting, rally, seminar, conclave, exhibition, cultural programmes and trade fairs will not be allowed till further orders. He also advised people who have fixed marriages before March 31st to perform the marriage with a limited gathering of 200 (both sides from the bride’s and bride groom’s) each 100.
He also ordered the management of function hall and marriage hall not to allow any bookings after March 31st till further orders. KCR ordered for closure and indoor and outdoor stadium, swimming pools, zoo parks, museums, and amusement parks till March 31st. he also announced that all kinds of sports events stands cancelled till 31st March.
