LG Polymers plant sealed on the direction of High Court

Vishakhapatnam: Police and Revenue officers seized the premises of LG Polymers India PVT LTD at R.R. Venkatapuram on Monday, following the directions of the AP High Court. The AP High Court had ordered the State Government to seal the premises of LG Polymers in Vishakhapatnam city and not allow directors of the company to leave the country without permission of Court.

A High Court division bench issued interim orders to seal the plant and directive was uploaded on the Court’s web site on May 24th. The officials probing the incident will have to write their names on a register at the main gate of the plant before entering the premises. ACP (West) Vishakhapatnam G.S. Rani said they had locked the main gate of the plant and some police personnel were guarding the premises to prevent any unto word incident. The AP High Court further asked how the company was allowed to transport Styrene Monomer to South Korea after registration of the crime and who gave the company permission to shift Styrene without a magisterial inquiry on the formation an investigation team.
