35 Died, 17 Injured A Bus Fell in a Valley

Jammu: A Mini bus in Kistavar District in Jammu and Kashmir fell down in a valley caused to the death of 35 passengers and 17 injured. The mini bus is going to kistavar from Keshvan on Monday at 07:30am; the bus is out of control and turtle and fell down turtlling in to the valley. According to the deputy police commissioner the bus capacity is 28 and the boarded passengers are 52.

          Due to overload of the passengers the bus fell down into the valley, said police. The nine injured persons shifted to Jammu medical college for treatment in MI-17 helicopters.

Exgratia: Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Prakash Malik expressed regret on the accident and announced Rs. 5 lakhs [Rupees Five Lakhs] exgratia to the bereaved families. He also directed the officials to take strong safety measures to prevent the road accidents. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the bereaved families.

   He also said that entire country is crying for the deceased. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Jammu and Kashmir former Chief Ministers Omer Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah and Mahabooba Mufti and other politicians expressed regret on the incident.
