BJP won twelve seats in by-polls

Bengaluru: The BJP won twelve seats out of fifteen in the Assembly bye-elections held on Thursday. The MLAs who resigned the JD(s) and Congress coalition Government are re-elected in the bye-elections.

   The Karnataka CLP leader Siddharamaiah resigned for his post and handover letter to the Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi on Monday. He is respecting the judgement of the voter in the bye-elections. The voted the defectors, he said. The Karnataka PCC Chief Dinesh Gundu Rao also resigned for his post, following the defeat of Congress party in the bye-elections. The AICC General Secretary Shiv Kumar said that their party will respect the verdict of the voter.

   The Karnataka Chief Minister Yediyurappa said that they are going to keep their promise, which they assured the defected MLAs to offer Ministerial berths in the cabinet.
