E-Cigarettes Banned in the Country: Nirmala

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman announced a ban on E-Cigarettes in the interest of the public health. Speaking to the media persons on Wednesday, she said that the group of ministers committee headed by her took the decision to ban the E-Cigarettes in the country.

          E-Cigarettes ban violators will be punished with a stiff fine of Rs. 1,00,000/- for first time, as well as upto one year of imprisonment for subsequent offenders the fine will increase upto Rs. 5,00,000/- and the punishment will be enhanced upto three years.

         The govt. banned the production, import, distribution and sale of E-Cigarettes in the country. It is for the sake of youth health. The govt bring an ordinance on the ban of E-Cigarettes & later it will be converted into a bill in the next parliament session.
