Hemanth Soren Designated as Jharkhand CM

Ranchi: JMM working president Hemanth Soren designated as the New Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The JMM-Congress-RJD alliance decided their alliance Chief Ministerial candidate is Hemanth Soren, prior the elections.

      Hemanth Soren is the son the Sibu Soren the founder of JMM. Hemanth Soren’s first stint as CM of the tribal state had lasted for just about 14 months since July 15th, 2013. But this time he support with his alliance, the Congress and RJD has stopped the seemingly invincible BJP.

      Hemanth Soren emerged as heir aparrant of the ‘Soren clan’ and won the dumka assembly seat in 2009. He became a Rajya Sabha member in 2009-2010, before becoming Jharkhand’s youngest CM in 2013 with support of Congress and RJD.

       Hemanth Soren won a seat in Jharkhand assembly in 2014 and became the leader of the opposition. He was able to sideline JMM’s senior leaders like Stephen Marandi, Simon Marandi and Hemlal Murmu, promting them to quit the party.
