India and Saudi enter into strategic MOUs

Riyadh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held extensive talks with the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz on Tuesday and inked more than a 12 agreements in several key sectors including oil and gas, defence and civil aviation to bolster their ties.

    Narendra Modi visited Gulf Kingdom for a two day visit and to attend the Future Investment Initiative. Modi and Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz exchange their views on working together closely to strengthen the bilateral ties. The two leaders condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and agreed to step up bilateral security cooperation.

     Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a wide ranging talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the evening. The delegation level talks the two sides signed an agreement to establish the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council to coordinate decisions regarding strategically important issues. The council will be held by Prime Minister Modi and the Crown Prince Mohammed and it will meet at an interval of two years.   

     Speaking with the media person Economic Relations Secretary Tirumurti said that the King Salman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and agreed to step up bilateral security cooperation.
