Solidarity Protest Marches Will Begin From 10:00am in 10 Cities in India: Against CAA
New Delhi: Various political parties are going to stage nationwide protests are due to be held on Thursday to oppose the CAA and NRC. The opposition parties are expressing solidarity to the Jamia Millia Islamia students who faced police brutality in New Delhi on Sunday.
Three protests cum solidarity marches will take place on Thursday in New Delhi. Protests are going to be held in Bhubaneswar (at 10:00am and 07:00pm), Hyderabad (10:30am), Bengaluru (11:00am), Kolkata (12:00pm), Bhupal (02:00pm), Lucknow (02:00pm), Nagpur (02:00pm), Chennai (03:00pm), Mumbai (04:00pm) and Pune (04:30pm).
The left party have planned a big protest in New Delhi from Mandi House at 12:00 noon with a public meeting followed by a procession at Shahid park. All major leaders of the left parties will participate, while another protest march will begin from Red Fort to Shahid Park at Bhahadur Shah Zaffar Marg. A third protest cum solidarity march will take place at Jamia Nagar at around 11:30am.
The students of Jamia braved and stood up in the most adverse situation. The filmy actor Faran Akther said in her tweet a poster that gave details of why the CAA and NRC had to be removed, and adding CU on the 19th at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai. The time to protest on social media alone is over.
